I come from a family of entertainers. It's in my blood. I was only ever encouraged to follow my artistic dreams. The path I choose to walk hasn't been secure. On the contrary, the road has been unpredictable and for that, I am grateful. I thrive on the adventure. More Don Quixote. Less Don Draper.

There is beauty and joy and romance in songwriting. Each song is a complicated love affair for me. When I'm courting the muse, I like to watch and see where she leads me. But I do have one constant - my feelers are always out. If I am traveling, my ears and eyes are observing my surroundings. Bob Dylan always carried a notebook and would jot down a comment he'd overhear a passer-by say. NYC is rich with such experiences.
